Day 7: February 14, 2014

Love is in the air...especially if you are Rush'n for Gold you are loving your team today.

The biggest mover of the day was Gold Rush'n who scored a big figure skating gold medal from Yuzuru Hanyu after Patrick Chan didn't seize the moment on the Olympic stage.  The silver went to Chan and still were points appreciated by Sochia Pet.  Gold Rush'n was also supported by a silver in Cross-Country skiing from Swede Johan Olsson.

Team Mark had a quiet day with no additional medals, which was much welcomed by the rest of the field.  Clearly his strategy of picking mostly female athletes has worked out thus far, but none turned out to be a great date for Valentine's Day.

Live Weyer crept closer to the lead with a Skeleton gold from Lizzie Yarnold.  Sochia Pet also maintained consistency with the previously mentioned Chan silver and a Skeleton silver from Noelle Pikus-Pace.

Silver Sputniks had the other points achieved on the day with one of the best biathletes so far - the Belarussian Darya Domracheva who has now hit double-gold in Sochi.

Now it's time for the middle weekend, then the home stretch next week.  Lots of points to be earned, especially those coveted team points.
